The Maine Senate has approved of marriage equality legislation with a 20-15 vote. The measure will move to the state's House next week.
Even better news–Maine Governor John Baldacci has suggested that he supports the bill as well! He declared, "I was opposed to this for a long time, but people evolve, people change as time goes by." Let's hope the members of the House are on the same level of the evolution timeline!
