Propostion 8 Update

MANHUNT Get Out and Vote

With exactly one week to go 'till election day, the emotions are flying high and anticipation is at an all time high with regards to Proposition 8.

Incidents like this one, where No on Prop. 8 supporters supposedly vandalized the home of a supporter of the ban, are a possible result of the high stakes battle. This has happened before, and is certainly not the right way to get our message across!

The parents of some of the children featured in a Yes on 8 advertisement are not happy about it. They demand the campaign take down the ad, which they are using as a fundraising tool, and that the San Francisco Chronicle, enforce their rights as the owners of the footage. The footage is of the controversial trip a classroom took to their teacher's gay wedding, with full permission of the parents, and the ability to opt out (the law in California for all trips), which two families did.

Mexican actor Eduardo Verástegui cut an ad for the Yes on Prop. 8 folks, and with the possible impact of Latino voters not being overlooked, Latino actors from the show Ugly Betty America Ferrara, Tony Plana, and Ana Ortiz came out with a counter ad trageting the Hispanic community (both ads are in Spanish, an English version of the Ferrara ad was also produced).

Remember to get out and vote on November 4th and keep checking here for updates!
