Miss California is Now Popular on Facebook and Her Sister is a Gay Rights Activist

Miss California

Miss California's opinions on gay marriage might have cost her the Miss USA crown, but she doesn't care because she had over 2,000 friends requests and 1,000 messages on Facebook the next day. In an interview with Billy Bush from Access Hollywood, she said, "I feel like I won. I feel like I’m the winner. I really do, Billy," said the pageant queen.

She also noted that her sister is a gay rights activist: "My sister is a second lieutenant in the Air Force and she is a gay rights activist… She supports gay people, she supports gay marriage. My beliefs have nothing to do with my sister or my mom, or whatever."

Wow! So I guess being popular on Facebook and having a gay rights activist sister justifies her bigoted response. "I think that I believe that" half of the messages and invites were from horny college boys who probably wanted to hit that. Hey, at least we know that her sister is intelligent–I can't really say the same about her other family members.

  1. Gee I lost…Hum how can I still make the headlines? Oh wait I’ll say I lost because….
No one will remember her in a weeks time tops.

  2. Wow. Just because she doesn’t agree with the gay community she’s a bigot? She answered her question honestly and without malice. Then Perez Hilton uses it against her on his blog. How shameful is that? It was a question she couldn’t answer without losing.

  3. Good for her, and her being honest and not cowering to the pressures of winning at any cost. I think more people will know about the runner-up than who actually won the pageant.
I hear the bigotry word being tossed around as if only the right-wingers claim it as their own. Sorry guys, but bigotry knows no boundaries regardless of color, religion, political affiliation, sexual orientation, etc.

  4. Seriously. Lay off her, she has a right to her opinion however wrong it may be. Stop being such a fucking whiny jackass.

  5. Funny, I hear her referred to as being intolerant, when in reality, all the intolerance I am seeing in this situation is coming exclusively from the other side. Since when is an individual not allowed to have an opinion?
Perez asked a loaded question to serve his own agenda. She answered it, free of any ill will. It was a classless move on his part.
If I was a member of the gay community, Perez Hilton is the last person I’d want speaking for me.

  6. Don’t get me wrong but everyone is entitled to their opinion, but her response was offensive and she said that in her country meaning that represents everyone in the USA. Also she said that she THINKs she believes. If she had said her statement with conviction then bravo for her but she was wishy washy.
