Who’s excited for tomorrow night’s Britney episode of Glee? Being a fan of Ms. Spears, I’m certainly looking forward to it! In other Britney/Glee news, I read there’s going to be a second Britney themed episode early next year. Like the first season, Glee will take a break over the holidays and return in early 2011. The second Britney episode will supposedly air after Super Bowl XLIV. Overkill? Maybe. What do you guys think?

definite overkill. I’m not too thrilled about the Britney episode. It would be more interesting if they highlighted the Crazy years for Ms. Spears.
One episode is too many. Two is definite overkill. Is anyone going to remember her songs in ten years?
Personally I am excited because lover her or hate her she is an undeniable piece of pop culture.
I am looking forward to tomorrow nights episode and after seeing it will determine how excited I am for a second Brit episode.
Sounds like a rumour to me! Why would they do this, when they could easily do a second Madonna one, or you know, someone entirely different that would actually draw people in post super bowl.
While I’m a HUGE fan of Glee, I’ve been Britneyed out for years now … one episode is okay, anymore than that will be overkill.
They can do some Brittney songs here and there, like they did with Telephone in last weeks episode, but an entire show based on Britney … um … no thanks.

@Javier, you say that, but people still remember her music from when she started in what, 1999? Do people still remember Madonna’s songs from the 80’s or Michael Jackson’s music? You have to realize that even if some people dont like her, she still has a huge fan base.
The episode sounds like it will be good, I love Heather Morris on Glee so im hoping for some good lines from her. The cameo by Brit herself is a tad much, but it’ll work out. However, i think they shouldnt do a second episode, just like I think the second Madonna episode is a little much.
Naysayers will still be tuned in. The Superbowl isn’t until like February so it’s not like it’s back to back episodes. If this is TRUE.
Andy, you’ve been misinformed. There will be one Britney episode. The one next year (to premiere after the Superbowl) will be another *tribute* episode, such as this upcoming Britney episode and the already aired Madonna episode, paying tribute to a yet-to-be named musician.

It’s fine… Glee’s fun, don’t thin about it too much. The problem I DO have is that they’re putting Glee on hiatus for that stinking pile named American Idol. Seriously, FOX? Is Seacrest dating Murdoch, and that’s why you have to keep AI on?

i’m pretty sure it will be successful – their most successful rating ever, so from that point of view why wouldn’t they want another britney episode.

I’m so excited for tomorrow’s episode. I can’t wait to see her in the small screen. We must confess the girl is good when it comes to comedy and to have an entire episode full of her songs is a dream for any fan. Plus, the trailers shown until now seem very well done.
@Javier, that’s what people said 11 years ago with her first album and again with her second, third, fourth and so on albums. She is very polarizing; you either hate her or love her and maybe those that love to hate her (personally I think they’re just in their own britney closet). But fact is, she’s still commanding a lot of attention despite her troubles and the onslaught of new artists. She’s definitely in it for the long run.
Britney and Glee were made for each other. It’s a marriage of two colossally boring mainstream icons. *yawn*
i surely hope that the glee break isn’t 4 months like last season!
I love Britney! She may be a hot mess, but she makes good music. I look forward to seeing both episodes and while some people are saying they don’t like Britney they will watch those episodes and love them. Even if they won’t admit it.
