Sarah Michelle Gellar In “Ringer”: BUFFY’S BACK!

Ok, this is an example of J. Harvey pushing his own agenda on Manhunt Daily. BUFFY IS BACK! Actually, it’s Sarah Michelle Gellar who has returned to television. Hey, it’s the closest thing we’re going to get to more Buffy on TV. Buffy the Vampire Slayer was the best show on television. Ever. Fuck Friends. Fuck Lost. Fuck M.A.S.H. Fuck  Homicide: Life On The Street. Fuck Rachael Ray. Fuck Martha Stewart. Fuck Oprah.

Yeah, I said it. Fuck Oprah (*cringes while waiting from bolt from above*)! Because Buffy was the best, gayest, most fantastical show to ever slap us in the face with its awesome. A show about a blonde chick who saved the world. A lot. It was about underdogs becoming heroes, had the best depiction of a lesbian relationship on television, and featured David Boreanaz in his prime.

Were you a fan of Buffy? Do you miss it as much as I do?

Anyway, Sarah’s playing twin sisters mixed up in all sorts of intrigue in this soapy-looking thriller on the CW. It’s doubtful that Ringer will have a Hellmouth, vampire staking, or James Marsters. It’s ok, because we’ll take what little remnants of Buffy we can get. Ringer premieres Tuesday at 9 PM EST on the CW.

After the cut, check out the trailer for Ringer. And a little number from the musical episode of Buffy. And some pics of Boreanaz without a shirt to make up for this ridiculous post. Yes, I’ll get a life sometime in 2012. Promise.

  1. Can’t wait to see how they wrap everything up in the series finale. Should be around mid-October.

  2. SarahPrinzeJr. you hateful bitch!  😉 No bad juju on this show. I want her to succeed! I love Buffy and I love Sarah Michelle.

  3. I was and still am a HUGE Buffy fan, I own the entire series on DVD, lol…I’m gonna check this show out

  4. Its great to have her back and the show looks like it would be good but they seem to have crammed every possible story into it – just the twin taking over the others life would have been interesting but they have to add so much extra to it its going to get way too messy – just hope it turns up over in UK as missed seeing Sarah

  5. I Gosh, I loved Buffy so much too ^^ I remember watching it twice a day on the Fox channel here when I was in my teens. I’ve always loved her ever since.

  6. KILLER BUNNIES – OH HOW I MISS EACH ONE OF THE QUERKY GROUP. IT’S NICE TO SEE THEM ONCE IN A WHILE. THIS SHOW HAS BEEN GIVEN C-, SO IT’S GOT TO HAVE A HUGE FAN BASE, AND A DEFINITE DEVELOPMENT OF QUALITY WRITING TO STAY WITH TV.
LET’S WRITE IN OFTEN TO LET THEM KNOW WHAT YOU LIKE AND WHAT YOU THINK. ALL IN THE SPIRIT OF MAKING IT A GOOD MINIMUM 5 YEAR TV RUN. ARE YOU WITH ME?

  7. WOW! David Boreanaz pic No3 is the one that actually made me realize i was gay!(I was 8)
I have been trying to track it down for ages (J. Harvey you are my hero :D)

Loved Buffy, and a big fan of Bones these days as you can imagine. 🙂

  8. Massive, GInormous, Unadulterated fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and Angel as well).  Even though I’ve followed the Joss Whedon approved Season 8 in comic book format, there’s nothing like seeing Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicholas Brendan, Anthony Stewart Head, Allison Hannigan, and all those others on the small screen.  I miss that show immensely.

  9. Dude, I can’t like your reply enough! I read season 8 in comic book form, too! Uh, yeah. *creeps back to nerd cave*

  10. I’m a huge Buffy fan too. Sarah Michelle was awesome as Buffy,  and in Cruel Intentions.
I have to watch Ringer now!  Also thanks for the pics of David!
