Next week, the Illinois House of Representatives and Senate will be voting on a bill that will allow civil unions within the Prairie State. The measure has the support of Illinois Governor Pat Quinn, and is "absolutely" expected to pass according to Rick Garcia, the political director for Equality Illinois. Another small step in the right direction, eh?
