And I Am Afraid… of These Auditions Tapes

Audition tapes for that heinous National Organization for Marriage video have surfaced, and they’re pretty much as terrible as you’d expect. Having seen the final product, I can’t even say it’s any better than this handful of people bumbling through their lines in front of a green screen.

And if you were suspicious that the chosen actors weren’t really a doctor, Massachusetts parent or church leader… well, did anybody actually think they were? As if their “concerns” would have been more valid if they had been real people!

I have my fingers crossed that SNL will do a parody of this video, though maybe it’s funny enough on its own.

  1. I wonder if any of the final actors intentionally took the job to make the organization look stupid?

  2. I don’t know what is sicker, these auditions, the final commercial or the defence that NOM is using to defend the commercial. It is pretty sas when the religous fanatics use fear mongering to justify their position because they know that rationally they have nothing to really work with.

  3. Is it me, or does the guy in Audition 10 come off as…well…gay?
And I gotta say that the girl in Audition 11 is kinda hot. Misinformed hot, but still hot.
