Bishop Harry Jackson Whines on Bill O’Reilly

Bishop Harry Jackson of the Hope Christian Church appeared on Bill O'Reilly's program to tell everyone about the meanies in the pro-gay rights movement who have "put him in danger." Jackson has been a vocal opponent of gay marriage in Maryland and across the nation.

I don't necessarily have a problem with his stance, though I disagree, everyone has the right to believe what they want. What I don't like is when people like Carrie Prejean or Harry Jackson claim to be victims. If you're going to put yourself out there on a hot-button issues, expect strong responses! It just seems like a no-brainer to me.

  1. This is quite possibly the most ridiculous crap ever. How can O’Reilly, in the same breath mind you, talk about how it is hypocritical for the Left to send threats, THEN make a threat of his own against people on NATIONAL TELEVISION? These people are just idiots, and everytime I see something like this, the world makes a little less sense.

  2. Dear Mr. Orielly and Jackson,
Conservative groups and traditional marriage groups have been boycotting gay companies for as long as I can remember could you please tell me how that is different from when gay people boycott or do not buy from companies that do not support their rights or opinions. If you are truly fair and balanced maybe you should start to really report both sides of the stories. I’m pretty sure last time someone mentioned that fact to you- you got awefully angry and told your crew to cut her mic. Ohhh I see how you are sooo fair and balanced, only when it has something to do with the right getting picked on,

  3. Being a member of a recognized mainline church, I am offended by this probably self-appointed ‘bishop’ spouting his views. And I am amazed at his mention of the ‘other houses’ he owns around Baltimore!! How much are they paying this guy??
The majority of people are viewing this as an issue of basic human rights, not as a competition. How sad these two cannot see that.

  4. How is this a religious fight?? I just want the same rights that “Straight” Americans have.
If the person I love is injured and taken to the ER for care, do you know that I can NOT call and ask about him because I am not blood related. Yes there is a legal form, but even after the cost of that, the Hospital can choose to ignore it.
And I want the same tax breaks as a married couple.
And all of this is not to mention the “Separation of Church and State”. I dont really give a crap if you call it a “marriage”, a “union”, or whatever the fuck they want.
How is that fair to me and every other gay person in this country? Granted, I do not believe he nor his family and church should be threatened.

  5. I could only stomach watching the first two minutes before I simply had to stop the video.
What a nauseating circle jerk of self-pity! Oh, those poor “traditional” conservatives. My goodness, how do they make it through the day with all of the hostility that they face?
Who in the hell anointed this moron a “bishop”? Isn’t that just a nice authority-giving nomiker?
What the “bishop” neglected to mention re: the publishing his home addresses in the newspaper was related to an investigation into VOTER FRAUD as opposed to a venal attempt to scare him by publishing personal information.
O’Leilly’s geriatric and brain-addled audience was probably pissing into their Depends collectively as they heard the horror-filled stories of being persecuted by the “far left”. Remember, these people who make up O’Leilly’s audience are part of the generation most propagandized to during the Cold War and have a reflexive Pavlovian response to keywords like “left”, “socialism” and “different”.
