Earlier this week, I reported that Ricky Martin had twin boys using a surrogate mother. Well, not everyone is happy for Ricky. The Cardinal of the Catholic church in Honduras, Oscar Andres Rodriguez, had this to say about the latin heartthrob being a father:
"What Martin did diminishes the dignity of a human being. You can’t
just buy or rent life. It’s even worse when someone famous and in the
public eye is doing it."
I personally do not see an issue with someone using surrogacy to become a parent. Is the Catholic church upset because of the fact that Ricky might be gay? Or are they against heterosexuals using this process as well?
