Those of us who identify as gay know that it's not just about the sex, it encompasses a lot more that. But a school in the San Diego area apparently doesn't get it, as they treated a 6th grader's report on Harvey Milk as sex education and forced students to bring in permission slips if they wanted to hear her presentation.
To add insult to injury they also made the poor girl give her report during lunch time… back of the bus anyone?
“This whole thing is unbelievable – first my daughter got called into
the principal’s office as if she were in some kind of trouble, and then
they treated her presentation like it was something icky,” said the girl's mother.
I agree, it is pretty unbelievable and a slap to Milk's legacy, which was not about sex but equality for all.

This is another case of the administration engaging in the engagement of applied homophobia and censorship. THIS is the behavior that is learned, HATE it taught, LOVE is not; its natural.
