Is the Buddha back? Some claim that 18-year-old Ram Bomjon, who has been sitting in meditation in the Nepal jungle for 10 months, is Buddha's reincarnation. The primary reason some say he's divine is that he has endured super-human fasts. In 2007, the Discovery Channel filmed him for 96 continuous hours during which he neither ate nor drank. Without water the average human dies after 3 or 4 days.
At this point, Bomjon has denied that he is Buddha but claims to have reached the level of rinpoche, a title of honorable teacher.
