Hot or Not?: Gloryholes

Glory Hole
Oh, the mythology of the gloryhole! Whether you've seen one in real life or just in porn, it's hard not be curious (perhaps it even makes you curiously hard). But is that curiosity enough to go through with it?

Some may argue that the anonymity is the hottest aspect, but it's hard to ignore that it's also the most dangerous. HIV infection through oral sex is quite possible, especially in a case where you know nothing about your sexual partner. Is that a risk worth taking? And let's not forget about the list of sexually transmitted infections one could acquire as either receiver or giver of oral sex.
To use a gloryhole with almost no risk, one would have to know the person on the other side and maybe even be involved with them monogamously. This clearly ruins the whole "anonymity" thing, and then you're basically just blowing your boyfriend, fuck buddy or whatever-you'd-like-to-call-him through a wall.
How does one balance the hotness with an appropriate amount of safeness? And even if you'd never actually consider being on either side of a gloryhole, do you still fantasize about it?
Kudos to Phallic Cymbals for a large portion of images included in this post.
