Golden Gays: This Is Actually A TV Show That Exists In The World You’re Living In

“Look out Orange County and Jersey shore – Palm Springs is on the scene and once you’re there, you won’t want to leave. The parties are legendary, the residents are eccentric and everyone knows a good plastic surgeon!

Golden Gays is a ground breaking series that invites you inside the fabulous and hilariously unpredictable community where everyone is either gay, gray or both! The show follows some of Palm Springs’ most outrageous and neurotic residents. From our Sex In The City style writer, to the single vegan lesbian looking for love, to a burly conservative contractor struggling to open is gay resort, there is always comedy and drama galore.

“Palm Springs is a desert town like no other and we know you’ll have a good time. So join the locals for a drink (or several) and don’t worry about acting your age – nobody else does!”

That’s the complete, unedited description of Golden Gays, a new reality series that premieres tomorrow night on Slice. It looks horrendous!

I’m not saying that because I’m an ageist, terrible person who hates all old dudes. I’m saying that because this looks like a knockoff of The A-List: New York, which will only prove that old dudes are just as ridiculous, vapid and prone to heinous behavior as their younger counterparts.

And while we’re on the topic of “ridiculous” and “vapid”, let me just state once and for all that I’d be okay if the silver daddy pictured above posed nude or leaked his own dick pics for publicity… But there’s no way in hell I’d ever watch his show! (Mostly because Slice is a Canadian channel, so there’s no way that I could watch his show.)

  1. The guy who says “I think aging is sexy” could practically be me, haha. Good times. I probably won’t watch this because it looks… well, you said it best, Dewitt, “vapid.”

  2. Age is sexy when it equates to wisdom, not to try and look and act forever like a teenager from another time. Its a turn off. I like older but not when they act like bratty little kids with cash while everyone else is broke..I want to see more older gay productions. One of the best I’ve seen is the brilliant film ‘When I’m Sixty-Four’
