Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlane Talks Gay Rights and More

Seth MacFarlane is a man of many talents. Between Family Guy and American Dad, he's tackled animating, composing, writing, producing and voice acting. But did you know he's also a champion of gay rights?

Whether you were outraged or ROFL'ing over Family Guy's gay gene episode, the truth of the matter is that MacFarlane is on our side. He sat down with Bill Maher for Real Time and tackled some hot button issues after a little joke that he "likes a good ass-fuck as much as the next guy".

Fast-forward to 3:36 for the gay bits. MacFarlane is not gay himself (and won't confirm whether Stewie Griffin is or isn't either), but he chatted up Maher and his crew about gay marriage, hate crimes and more.

What do you think of this atheist, ass-fuck loving straight man? I think I might have a new crush. Does anyone else wish he wasn't joking about the whole butt-sex thing?

  1. That was a rather bigoted comment on Bill Maher’s part to bundle Muslims up into on big sexist/homophobic group. That’s like saying all Christians share the views of Catholics. There are as many viewpoints within Islam as within Christianity. A little embarrassing for Bill, frankly.
