Britney Spears is essentially confirmed as the ‘kick off’, or opener to the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.
Britney said to Us Weekly, "MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs?" It has been reported that she will not be performing however, probably for the good of all the viewers…
Performance or not, she will be opening the show, and that alone could be entertaining to watch. Here’s hoping she doesn’t screw it up like last time!
