Beyonce’s Feminist Club Anthem Has A Video

Beyonce and her lingerie-clad lady army are taking over the post-apocalyptic desert from these trifling men! Beyonce’s first single off the upcoming 4, which initially sounded like a mess, might grow on me because the video is hot. Fierce dancin’, fierce clothes, and most of all – fierce hair! Fierce hair is very important for music video success.

In the clip, B-Day is up on cars with a hot pompadour, holding back slobbering CGI attack dogs from tearing apart the aforementioned trifling men, and flipping everyone off through dance. You know, the usual things a pop diva has to get done during her busy day.

  1.  The video totally does make the song tolerable! So much good dancing! Beyonce always kills it in her videos!

  2.  Well, at least she’s 10 times better than lady caca in all aspects. Still very iffy on the song. She’s a beautiful woman.

  3. Don’t like the song but the video is hot … Just would like to see just a few more hot men being knocked over by her dancin’ and ‘tude !
BEYONCE  YOU ARE AMAZING IN EVERYTHING YOU ATTEMPT.
hOPE TO SEE MANY MORE VIDEOS AND CONCERTS, MOVIES AND TV [DSPECIALS WITH YOU !
one point… jst don’t wear that black dress that you can walk or climb stairs in  ever again unless you plan to be sitting and not trying to stand up or move !  lol  I’m just sayin’

  4. I love how the Indian musical influence in the song translated into a Bollywood influenced video (especially the finale).

  5. As I’ve asked elsewhere, am I the only one who wishes that during the scene where Beyonce is chained to a pair of hyenas, that the animals turn around and out of fury and shame for being part of this video, devour her in retribution?

  6. There is a whole ‘dance’ sequence that looks like it is inspired by trying really hard to get her shoes off.

  7.  Nothing like women conforming to the conventional ideas of sex appeal to “run the world.”

Completely destroyed Major Lazer’s beat.  I’m all for music sampling, but do it justice.

  8. I love everything about it. She looks great and the choreography is killer. The song has definitely grown on me.

  9.  Interesting video, horrible music.  This won’t win any awards for songwriting.  This  is more like a chant as an excuse for a video extravaganza.  I’m not impressed.

  10. … @Christopher…really? really?…lol

Anyway, I’m a total Beyonce fan. The song and her dancing in this video is just…Wow. Can’t wait for her album to be released.

  11.  Fun video, though it seems like somebody found Gaga’s donation box to Goodwill….

  12. Um that base beat was yanked from Major Lazer’s Pon de floor and that’s the only part I like about the video, but I would like the song better if it didn’t use that back beat and made one that matches.

  13. Hated the song, but DAMN that video is hot! Def grew on me after watching!!
B always brings it in her videos. PERIOD!
I am really looking forward to her album, cant wait for the track with Rihanna!!

  14. really looking forward to her album – I like that this video isn’t all one second shots all cut really fast like most dance videos – the static camera makes it a little unique.

  15. Is everyone sure she “stole” the track sampled for this song.   From what I have read Major Lazer was involved in the production of this song.  A lot of times artist are far more open minded than their fans are.

There was also a time when different artist could have different versions of the same song out at the same time.  It wasn’t theft it was just someone elses take on a song or a version that appealed to their fans.

Last I heard copyright laws applied to sampling so Major Lazer at the very least had to agree to let her sample Pon Di Floor.  Moreover they are getting paid!

    So

  16. How is that, considering he would have had to give permission for the track to be used. lol

  17. The song is growing on me thanks to the video. It’s her best to date.  Anyone else think she looked like Shakira in spots?

  18. Looks like the bizarre result of a menage a trois between Mad Max, Bollywood, and Lady Gaga and it didn’t turn out too well.

  19.  There’s very little in this video that is truly feminist.  Feminism makes no claims to female superiority.  And the song sucks too.

  20. @Christopher… are you that stupid to see that they were placed there? it’s fake! so damn quick to talk!

The video is AMAZING! She really outdid herself, it’s full of energy.

  21.  I don’t know… It’s like a lady gaga video and the chronicles of narnia rolled up into one…

  22. while I think the song is okay, the video is okay (and a million times better than Judas in both accounts), and I think Beyonce is a great performer (Britney should watch how one shows passion and motivation in a video), I have a hard time seeing the feminist message here….

calling a woman a “girl” is hardly a message of equality (let alone dressing in garters and constituting an army against men)…. can u imagine if the men in the video we singing a song called “boys”? this socio-racial-historical references and implications would be extremely problematic, to say the least….

with Bee’s video, do we have good to great entertainment? most definitely….

but that just about all this video can ever be….
