Aural Only: Ke$ha

Here we go again! That skank who calls herself a musician–otherwise known as Ke$ha–has just released the fourth single from her debut album Animal. The song is called “Take It Off”, and the music video basically details a day in the life of Ke$ha (only with less whiskey or cum on her boobs).

It figures that she’d follow up her most tolerable song with this atrocity, but you know we can’t resist giving this a bid for the 2010 Song of Summer. On a completely unrelated note, am I the only one who preferred the “Boston Boys” version of this? At least they actually took off their clothes…

  1. Like Sarah Palin, why are we still paying attention to this no-talent hack? C’mon! Let’s get back to the important stuff—like naked men.

  2. Eww you think “Your Love is My Drug” is her most tolerable song? Barf.

This is her best and should have been released as her second single.

I do agree “Blind” should be released. Show another side of her.

This isn’t the best video, I expected much more. But that Boston Boys vid was crap. Ooh a bunch of self-obsessed homos and like 5 of them take off their shirts.

  3. why is everyone ripping on Ke$ha?!?!? unlike all the other Pop bitches out there, at least she’s upfront about being a dirty skank! an as for her songs and vids, they’re catchy and fun just like any other Pop singer out there. this vid isn’t anywhere near as bad as Xtina’s musical ABORTION “Not Myself Tonight”!!!…That being said, I do agree with one thing in this post: the Boys of Boston version was BETTER!!! 😀

  4. Ke$ha Rocks – all here songs are so catchy. I love – Tears in My Eyes – a little different from the usually stuff.

  5. horrible song for an equal horrible album , as far as Ke$ha , it just gotta say ugghhh !
the only song i like of hers is Boots and Boys , and that is because I saw Raven performing this song in SF , so thanks Raven ..

  6. I think this is a fun and catchy album. This video had some pretty good special effects with the powder paint and glitter. Some people are just too critical…When I first heard California gurls, I thought…..I don’t like this song…..and 10 airplays and a few mock videos later…I love it. LOL

  7. Ke$ha and this song rock… i’ve enjoyed all of her songs thus far… Blah Blah Blah to a lesser extent.

  8. Her album is pretty good. The title track is her best. “Let the animal inside live or die” come on. It’s a pretty good song
