Drama on the high seas is coming to Animal Planet! A 7-part documentary
called Whale Wars will begin on
November 7th. It follows Paul Watson, an original founder of
Greenpeace in 1977, as he captains ‘Sea Shepherd,’ an operation that hotly
pursues ships around the globe to disrupt illegal whaling.
Last winter alone, the crew stopped the Japanese from butchering 300 whales,
but not without confrontations including gunfire, hostages and high-speed
chases through Antarctic waters.
This sounds almost as much fun as watching Steve Irwin frolicking with
hungry gators. Rest in Peace, Crock
