Who Deserves A Second Chance On The Weekly Top Ten?

As we move forward in our quest for 2010’s “Song of Summer“, it’s important to acknowledge the many casualties we’ve witnessed along the way. While there were some cases where we said “good riddance”, there are a few songs we’d love to bring back onto the countdown.

This week’s Wild Card round is composed of songs from both categories, including releases from Alexis Jordan, Enrique Iglesias, Taio Cruz and Wynter Gordon. For various reasons, we’ve decided that these selections deserve a second chance. But which one deserves it the most?

– Dewitt

To listen to the songs and cast your vote, follow the JUMP:

Alexis Jordan – Happiness: If you listen closely, this is the song that’s playing as Drew Cutler pees all over Steven Daigle, licks it off and then kisses him on the mouth. If that doesn’t scream “Song of Summer” to you, then I don’t know what will. Don’t let the gross factor turn you off from this jam! It’s one of this year’s most underrated dance cuts.

Enrique Iglesias f/ Pitbull – I Like It: Much like every other song on the Jersey Shore soundtrack, this auto-tune heavy tune makes me want to beat my head against the wall. But that doesn’t change the fact that Enrique looks scorchingly hot in the music video. Wasn’t he supposed to waterski naked or something? When the hell is that happening?

Taio Cruz – Dynamite: As far as I can tell, this has been the only single that’s been giving Katy Perry and Eminem any competition on the Billboard charts, but it didn’t do so well when it was featured on Manhunt Daily’s Weekly Top Ten. Have you warmed up to it yet? We haven’t.

Wynter Gordon – Dirty Talk: Even though the lyrics of Ms. Gordon’s breakout solo single head into raunchy territory, she kept it soft and serene for the song’s music video. There also might be a little lesbian action. But, like, in a subtle way that doesn’t involve vaginas flopping all over the place.

  1. I was all about Enrique till I heard “Dirty Talk”…HOT! Can we get Shontelle – “No Gravity” on here? Or maybe Kylie Minogue – “Get Outta My Way”? Both are on constantly in my car; great fun tracks that are great to bump to.
