As a fellow transman, I admire Mr. Bono for coming out in the open as trans and being willing to put a face on what many people go through but most of society does not even begin to understand. I hate how closed minded some homos are. I guess people are people no matter what they are. Its the same way I have been disapointed time and time again when I meet closed minded, bigoted african americans. I guess i tend to hold minorities, and people who have faced oppression and or bigotry/hatred to a higher standard, in hopes they will be more open and accepting.
Transgendered people, I feel, are the homosexuals of today. (people confused by them, don’t understand them, make up their own conclusions to why the are the way the are…sounds familiar)
