Average differs, and is heavily depends on the person’s perception. If a guy claims that he is average, then he should show the pics so the rest of us can equate whether his measure is in par with our perceptions.

what annoys me when i see a profile is when a guy says he’s muscular, when clearly he is not.. chunky is not considered muscular.. it’s hard to see the muscles with all that fat and skin surrounding then.
