The film that some began to doubt might ever be made, video game adaptation Uncharted finally – hopefully, given the current climate – arrives in cinemas this coming February. And to remind us all of that fact (plus to likely piggyback on the huge success of the similarly Tom Holland-featuring Spider-Man: No Way Home), a new trailer is online.
Uncharted introduces us to the young street-smart Nathan Drake (Holland) and showcases his first treasure hunting adventure with wisecracking partner Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg). The two go in dangerous pursuit of “the greatest treasure never found while also tracking clues that may lead to Nathan’s long-lost brother.
There are daring escapes, high-flying stunts and Antonio Banderas as a treasure-obsessed wrong ‘un. And though fans of the games might wonder whether it’s Uncharted enough, it’ll be hoping to kick off a new franchise.
We’ll find out if those dreams come true on 11 February.
