Sesame Street’s Glee Parody Is Better Than The Actual Show

If this doesn’t make you smile, you’ve got a snowball for a heart and styrofoam in your soul. Can Fox just hire Sesame Street to put the show on from now on? They’re way more likable. And they would totally win at “Gee-gionals.”

And props for the first “out” puppet (“Gorgeous!” is obviously the Kurt stand-in). Cuz’ Big Bird and those two puppets that shack up together kinda dropped the ball on leading the gay puppet rights movement.

  1. Apparently I’ve “got a snowball for a heart and styrofoam in your soul” as I didn’t find this amusing at all.  I kinda thought it was stupid.

  2. Loved it!  Even though I am not a Glee fan, I did love Sesame Street as a little kid.  Ahh to be 5 years old again!!
Had to share this on my FB!

  3. The “Sesame Street” writers are amazing!  They write for adults as much as they do the kids.  Look up their spoof of “Law and Order” with the constant “duh duhn!” or Feist singing “Counting to 4.”

As an actor, you must know you’ve made it when Sesame Street makes a Muppet out of you.  They even included Mr. Twinkles playing the piano!  Minus one point, tho, for forgetting that G also stands for “gay”–yes, I’m looking at you, Kurt-inspired lisping puppet throwing glitter in the air!

  4. Haha, hilarious!  I didn’t think of it that way!  Although I’ll be a monkey’s uncle if Finn knows the entire alphabet or can count to 20 without taking off his socks and shoes.

  5. (well, i am certain we can forgive finn for that particular shortcoming..
..as long as he knows how to shut up and “bend over.”

    :-).)

that thought didn’t occur to me for a while, either..
..but then the “social commentator” kicked in, at the back of my mind, as i was getting more and more upset with the basic premise of the presentation (as cutely as it might have been portrayed).

    poor finn..
..however he managed to pass 3rd grade is beyond me.

  6. this is for kids…as far as they know, the really “old” muppet kids in this video are like 6 or 7! Geez dude, give it a break and enjoy life sometimes without analyzing it up your wazoo….your wazoo will be grateful.

  7. that’s a big part of the problem with society, at large, sal: too many individuals prefer not to think critically, and take for granted that all-what is being spoon-fed to them is perfectly kosher.

when in reality.. ..that shit ain’t kosher.

    (even for Pigs.)

    not by a long shot.

in specific reference to this particular snippet: i’m aware that the above rendition was intended “for the kids.”
(kids who, mind you, appear to be getting smarter-and-smarter, through each passing year.)
so what i’m getting at is, maybe, that particular presentation is best suited for individuals who have a learning disability, or some other kind of handicap — because modern 6- and 7-year-olds are more than capable of differentiating their “g” sounds, methinks.

on another note: you chose a rather, ahh… …unique matter to have a little gripe with me about, bud.

    but that’s fair.

    i’m not above being questioned.
as such goes with everyone else who decides to make their feelings known on a public forum.
