Nat Geo Looks At Gay Twins

National Geographic TV looks at the issue of gayness in twins. The nature vs. nurture debate certainly plays into it, since having a gay twin highly increases your chances of being gay. That would support the nature side, but twins are also usually raised in the same household. This video also looks at a (cute) pair of twins where one is gay and the other straight.

My personal belief is that it's a mixture of nature and nurture, which the video also seems to support. It's pretty interesting stuff!

  1. should introduce them to the bel ami twins, i’d love to see the look on those researchers faces as elijah and mojo start having sex. LOL and all the scientific reasons for why they are so horny.

  2. Nature vs. Nurture is SO 90s. The mystery is no longer that because genetics DEFINITELY plays the main role not only with homosexuality but with all other traits and conditions as well. The biomechanical problem will eventually be resolved (sooner than we think) but the harder the question now is how and how much the environment plays a role in shaping sexual preference/orientation.

  3. I meant “…but the harder question now is…”
BTW, just because the twins have the same genes and upbringing doesn’t necessarily negate the possibility that there may be some other biomolecular mechanism in play that resulted in only one of them being gay. (That actually rhymed…LOL)
