After he collects himself and attempts to resume his meterological duties, Mr. Crawly returns to terrorize him again. Yes, he might have overreacted, but everyone’s scared of something. I could be accepting the Oscar and if any sort of reptile came anywhere near the Kodak Theater, that statuette would be used as a weapon and my shrieking would blow off John Travolta’s wig.

I’ve seen straight men act a lot worse too. I’m thinking of one that went into hysterics at a spider that got onto his arm. And it that had been a snake instead of a cockroach, i would have been too long gone to scream and I wouldn’t have been back until; they showed me the dead snake.

And here’s a brain teaser: apparently gay men are wildly overrepresented in meteorology. Not just broadcast weather reporters, but the discipline as a whole. I have several friends who are meteorology professors and they talk about it at professional conferences all the time. No one can figure out why.

Why are there so many weather forecasters that are gay?…In the big city I live in I know of 4 of different gay weather personalities from over the years.
