For the longest time, the phrase “keep the tie on” was a running joke amongst my friends. It all stemmed from an incident when I politely demanded that my ex-boyfriend, duh, kept his tie on during sex. Sure, there was a “costume” element to it all, but it was also useful for gently tugging him around the bedroom.
Long story short? Ties can be used for much more than a fashion statement. As long as you’re not rocking a two-hundred dollar Hermes scarf tie, these babies can be utilized for all sorts of erotic purposes! Need an impromptu blindfold? Use your tie! Looking for a way to restrain your boyfriend’s wrists behind his back? Use your tie! And the list goes on and on…

If you’re gonna use a tie for bondage, don’t pull the knot too tight. Silk can cut dangerously into the skin and a tight silk knot can be very hard to undo. Rope is safer.
