According to the UK Daily Mail, Johnny Depp is getting paid $55.8 million dollars upfront to star as Jack Sparrow in the fourth installment of Pirates of the Carribbean.
If reports are true then this would make Depp the highest paid actor surpassing Tom Hanks who received $50 million upfront to star in the sequel of the Da Vinci Code.
Hmmm…that’s a whole lot of money. Johnny should be nice and donate some of that money to the Andy foundation. I’m not sure if Johnny Depp is worth close to $56 million. I mean, Pirates of the Carribbean is immensely popular but I was never really into it. What do you guys think?
It’s reported that Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley will not be returning to reprise their roles as Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann respectively.
