Johnny Depp is considered one of the hardest working men in Hollywood for good reason. He has signed up for a fourth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, which has earned 2.6 BILLION dollars at the box office! After the crappy third one, I hope they really do this one right…
Aside from playing Jack Sparrow once again, Depp has signed on to play Tonto in The Lone Ranger. He will also be working with his favorite director again, playing the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton’s big screen take on Alice in Wonderland. The movie will be out in 2010 and will use 3D performance capture technology, much like Beowulf.
I’m excited for all these movies and Depp is a great choice for all those roles. But then again, he is great in any role as one of Hollywood’s most versatile actor, and definitely my favorite actor (alongside Bill Murray).
