Fox News 25 here in Manhunt’s home state of Massachusetts pulled some shady shit. In an “investigative report” on their 10 PM broadcast two nights ago, “reporter” Mike Beaudet rolled up on Mystic Valley Regional Charter School teacher and English department chair Kevin Hogan in a store parking lot. Mr. Hogan was literally ambushed with glaring lights, a camera in his face, and some crumpled printouts of scenes from his porn star past waved at him.
Yes, Hogan performed in three different videos (available, purely coincidentally, on Manhunt TV) as “Hytch Cawke”. That’s a pretty good porn name! He appeared in flicks such as Fetish World and Just Gone Gay 8.
Beaudet mercilessly chased the dude to his car while demanding to know if Kevin was also “Hytch Cawke” and if so, was it appropriate for him to be teaching children? Hogan denied it, as most of us would do in a panic as we watched our career blow up in our faces in a CVS parking lot. Beaudet humiliated this man, and probably took away his livelihood.
Hogan has been placed on paid leave from the school, and there was the expected outcry from parents. The story itself has gone viral, and wow, shockingly – many past and present students of Mr. Hogan’s are speaking up online to defend him as a wonderful teacher.
Let’s ask the question – should Hogan be canned because of something he did a year ago? It was probably a dumb move if you’re looking to be a teacher, but why would a person who has had sex with another person on film automatically endanger children?

I think every respectable gay in the greater Boston area should descend on the Fox News channel and let them know this kind of “reporting” behavior is unacceptable in this day and age. Agreed, ubg469! He had sex with another man in a movie, and he is being vilified for it. If he had done a film in which his character brutally and graphically murdered another man, though, do we really think the reaction would be the same? Priorities!

I think this is bullshit… if everyone who has made a porn video gets fired… Imagine the amount of unemployed people out there…

If he is a good teacher (as some of his students claimed) than I don’t think he should be fired just for a porn video, everyone of us have our own secrets…
How are is past actions affecting his job? This is so wrong in so many ways!!! Is he filming the porn in his class room in front of the kids on school time, I think not! So then why should it matter at all. When I was in High School, there were several alcoholic teachers and everyone turned a blind eye to that, wouldn’t that be more child endangering than filming some porn, before you became a teacher? Lets worry about some real issues!

i mean im in highschool and i know one of my teachers did porn like i found the video and kinda confronted him about it and he was just like ya ok i did porn appearntly most of the staff knows so i really dont get this bullshit though i am canadian a little less rediculess up here but not by much

What’s the difference between our politicians and this teacher, the politicians with a past get to keep their jobs and keep screwing us,when this guy only screwed a consenting partner, besides Gay men do not prey on young children like the hetero’s do.
I find it amusing that they’re all over him because what he did in his PRIVATE life was a “public” form of art. You know that at least half of these holier-than-thou people HAVE VIEWED (or at the very least TRIED to view) these movies or video clips.
I would love to have a look in to all these other people’s past activities..and at their hard drives. It’s also funny that barely anyone woudl have known about this if it weren’t for that one viewer that tipped the station off. I might ask what they were doing watching his GAY PORNO movies in the first place. Such the moral compass!!

He did three gay porn vids and then was hired as both an English teacher and the Chairman of the English Department at this school, where he undoubltedly teaches to young boys.

Although I am no fan of FOX and their tactics, I think that living in an Internet age, where any student could very easily access video of him having sex, makes me think the school is doing the right thing and he should be let go. Whether it is with a man or a woman is irrelevant, having those images out there diminishes his credibility and distracts the students from what they are there to do. It’s unfortunate that we can’t escape our pasts when we put them on celluloid but maybe that should be a warning to the next generation. If you want to do porn, good for you, just don’t expect society to allow you to take a leadership role teaching children. Call me a prude, I don’t care. This wasn’t something he did 20 years ago, where the hell is his judgement. Actions have consequences…..deal with it.

I agree. This guy is a fool for doing porno to begin with if he was remotely in the teaching field. Once you do porno…it is out there…FOREVER. If you are a teacher or going to run for office, you are just asking for it.
Moral of the story, unless you like drama and are planning on going into a profession where your past may come back to haunt you. DON”T DO PORN. Common sense dictates if you are a teacher don’t do porn! Private life or not someone is going to make an issue of it Unless you like all the drama involved!
