The mayor of Mulberry, Florida is close to resigning after local paper The Ledger leaked the arrest of his apparent live-in boyfriend and drag performer Eugene Ornelas. The mayor, Julian Mullis claims the two are only roommates but police reports suggest otherwise calling the pairing a "family unit".
Ornelas is alleged to have thrown a bottle at Mullis after returning home from a club at 5 a.m with another man. To add another twist, Ornelas is a known drag performer under the name Chyna, whose casting page for Rupaul's Drag Race you can see here.
Yep, sounds like this mayor won't be living this down anytime soon.

Hope everyone is having a good day and ready for a great week-end! Really no change for me… just hanging in there and taking it day-by-day. I appreciate all the love, support, friendship, and well wishes from each of you. I am truly blessed to be going through this experience (RDR) with you all and have the opportunity to enrichen my life, and HOPEFULLY at least one other!
I have been watching the site, the voting, the testimonials, the chatting between people, and have become a little bothered with what I am seeing. I have been a part of this for both “Laps” (as I like to put it… instead of seasons) and followed/supported a few of the Girls each time! PLEASE DON’T GET ME WRONG OR READ INTO THIS (I KNOW some will) ***I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ALL HAVE LIVES, SHOWS, JOBS, FAMILIES, OTHER THINGS TO DO…..*** I don’t expect anything special and I don’t even expect a daily testimonial of how much you appreciate me or even the word thank you… BUT, at least once a week to acknowledge the fact that WE THE VOTER’S are the one’s supporting you and helping you in the chasing of your dream, would be nice!! Like I said, I don’t EXPECT it… but when I see a LONG testimonial EVERY DAY praising a person, and I don’t even recognize the picture on my profile (after I have sent a DAILY VOTE AND TESTIMONIAL, not to mention testimonials asking others to support) I ask myself, “Why do I bother?” There are a few of you who are only focusing on getting new votes that you have forgotten the one’s who have stood by your side and supported you FROM DAY ONE!!
ALSO, there are MANY of the Girls who started a profile, got their photo’s on here, asked for vote’s and have not been seen in 20+ days. There are also the Girls who are here every day, may have photo’s, but NO BLOG OR VIDEO, as the requirements state.
There are SEVERAL Girls who REALLY want this and are serious about this. This is not only a popularity contest or a way for them to “be seen” but a way for them to make an impact, a change, a difference!!
I have been voting EVERY DAY and sending my testimonials, showing my support and encouragement, and FOR THE MOST PART, it has been well received, appreciated, and a joy to share.
This “LAP” has been “different”, people are much crueler. Say what you want about me, I DON’T CARE!! I am a nice Guy with a big heart, that cares about others and wants happiness in the world! NO, I am not naive or stupid, I know that there is harshness, hate, crime, cruelty, meanness, shadiness, etc… in the world, but that does not make it right! There can be peace and love in our world, we NEED UNITY! It has been said that my thinking is “NOT REAL”, that I am a “SENSITIVE GIRL” that needs to “GROW SOME NUTS”, A “SOFT ASS” that needs to “MAN THE F*CK UP”, that this was not “BFF CENTRAL” and “NOT A TUPPERWARE PARTY”. All because I am nice Guy that wanted to see a bit of UNITY in our Community? Well, if that is what is thought of me by some… SO WHAT!! For the same reasons they hate me, I have people tell me that is the beautiful thing about me, that is why they enjoy being around me and being my friend, and to never change. I will never sacrifice who I am or attempt a change for ANYBODY!! (just to let it be known, the person who wrote that Blog “in my honor”, has sense changed their view and we now speak, but they said it… none the less!)
I will admit, it was nice to see my name and pic in the “Top 6” “Drag Hags” in the beginning, and it has been nice to be in the “Top 10” (now #12), but I AM NOT IN THIS FOR ME!! I AM IN THIS TO SUPPORT THE GIRLS CHASING A DREAM WHO WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY, IN OUR WORLD! So if you notice a drop in my ranking, it is NOT that I don’t care or have left. It is for the simple fact that I am doing this for YOU, NOT ME!!
So, with all that said… I will be reviewing how I do my voting! The Girls that have not been on in a while, the Girls that do not have their requirements, the Girls that can’t take TWO SECONDS to acknowledge support, I will no longer be showing that support to. I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST, but I will be focusing on the Girls that are seriously chasing this dream, want this to make a difference, want to represent OUR COMMUNITY, and be OUR VOICE to the world!
I TRULY hope that there are no hard feelings, there are NONE on my part, and that you all understand where I am coming from. To borrow a GREAT saying from “My Boi”, Niko… just after “ONE LOVE”!!
