As the Halloween season draws nearer, I’ve been gravitating towards odder elements of culture. Yes, we still have four weeks to go until the holiday is upon us, but that hasn’t stopped me from watching cheesy horror movies and covering my living room with zany decorations.
Obviously, Jose William Vigers has found a place within all of this calamity, as he churns out artwork described as “uncanny, camp and grotesque”. This may not appeal to everyone in our crowd, but at least it’s more original than unrealistically large penises…

Good stuff! Is anyone else reminded of Frida Kahlo? The third image after the jump particularly evokes. And although not Kahloesque at all. I just love the second and third from the end. The third from the end looks like it could have been lifter from The Cell.
I can certainly see that this guy has a unique vision, and I admire that, but it’s just not my cup of tea.
made me think of those times in shows like Beavis and Butt-Head where they’d be tripping on some drug…….with a hint of Aeon Flux.
A sad combo of Dali/Kahlo/10 year old…just not interesting and very amateur.
