Coraline

Henry Selick, director of The Nightmare Before Christmas, has brought cinematic life to Neil Gaiman's latest spooky masterpiece, Coraline. The movie is about a young girl who discovers a magical passage in her house that leads to a world that seems wonderful at first glance but is teeming with creepiness and peril.

In this interview, Selick talks about the challenges of working with stop-motion animation, as well as the ordeal of getting Disney to back a film that is viewed as "too scary for children, but not scary enough for adults."

Dakota Fanning stars in Coraline which is currently in theaters.
