Coming out is never easy, and it can’t help if have you do it on a widely read national magazine! Throughout the years we have had a quite a few ‘coming out covers,’ some easily forgotten, while others became ingrained in our collective conscious.
From the landmark Lenny Matlovich cover, which touched off a decades-long debate on gays in the military to the less controversial Lance Bass and Rosie O’Donnel stories, we put together a handful of coming out magazine covers from the last 30 years.
