"Fight For This Love" is the debut solo single from Girls Aloud member Cheryl Cole, and it recently made waves in the UK for becoming the fastest selling single of the year. We've had a few requests (and one veto) to add this one to the Weekly Top Ten, and we're definitely considering it.
Rumor has it that Cheryl has inked a deal with Interscope to release her new album 3 Words in the US. The album's title track, featuring Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am, will allegedly be the first single. Do you think she'll be as successful on this side of the pond?

anyhow, now that you dedicated a special post for this song, i gave it another listen.
What’s wrong:
1. Waaay below the average Girls Aloud songs.
2. Annoyingly repetitive, indeed reminds of Just Fine in certain places
3. Awful cheetah pants? anyone else?
4. Awkward dance moves, similar to Britney’s Gimme More on VMA.
5. Got its success only due to Cheryl being an x-factor judge and a heavy promotion both on the x-factor itself and around London.
Conclusion:
another “veto” from me 😉
I don’t know what’s worse, the watered down beat or the watered down voice. It’s like a bad Britney single.

Hey Dewitt….thanks for considering Cheryl’s song for the chart. Even if she stays there for one week, it’s worth bringing her music to North American listeners’ attention. She might not be Britney or Madonna, but she’s another choice in the musical spectrum and everybody is entitled to their own taste. My vote is for “Fight for this love” even if the “you gotta fight fight fight” part was copied from Mary J. Blige’s song “Just Fine”.
I love Cheryl. She’s my fav from girls aloud and i love her new album, minus one song. She’s beautiful, fiesty, and fun. LOVE HER>
She looks like Jennifer Love-Hewitt. I could not even watch this half way through. Garbage in my opinion
