The New Andrew Christian Video Is Very Hot, But…

We need to talk about the musical selections in Andrew Christian‘s videos. While I certainly have nothing against Noa Tylo‘s subtly-titled 2007 single “Let’s Do It“, it doesn’t quite fit the sensual tone of the underwear brand’s latest clip “Kiss”. Now, keep in mind I’m well-aware that copyright blah-blah law prevented them from using any damn song without permission. That’s fine! But did they have to use this song? There must have been other options! There must have!

Here at Manhunt headquarters, we tested out several different tunes with the video on mute. Every single one of them worked better than “Let’s Do It”. The biggest surprise was that Carole King‘s “Will You Love Me Tomorrow?” transformed the clip into a very sad, yet beautiful short film about intimacy on the gay hook-up scene… But maybe we’re dating ourselves by even admitting that song exists?

(This is the part where I say something about Beyoncé to maintain the illusion of youthful splendor.)

  1. Um, what did that have to do with selling underwear? Other than the waist band that was used as a blindfold there was no underwear to be seen. Apparently Andrew Christian has evolved beyond schilling his underwear with these videos.

  2. Lol! I thought the same thing. I was asking myself what does this have to do with Underwear? There isn’t any! ” Still a hot video though. The song was too fast paced. Something like Get mine, Get yours by Christina Aguilera would have been good. It’s got a dance beat, but also a slower sensual tone that would fit all the sensual kissing.

  3. I found it much more enjoyable with Amber’s classic “Sexual (Li Da Di)” as the soundtrack.

  4. Call me old fashioned, but I like to actually see the product they are trying to sell. AC is getting desperate and the line between ads and soft-core porn blur even further.

  5. Seriously Andrew Christian- not all people who are interested in buying underwear are vapid little cunts. We actually want to SEE THE PRODUCT. And just because these muscle studs look awesome in your underwear, doesn’t make me want to buy them. Reconsider the staffing of your marketing and PR departments!

  6. Yep, that sure makes me want to buy underwear. I mean they’re so pretty and such great styles, That could have easily been a commercial for mouthwash. Like RuPaul says “Don’t rely on pretty.”

  7. really my personal taste, none of the guys attracted to me…bad nose, bad teeth, bad skin…sorry…but its not related the underwear either…
