The Hard Times of RJ Berger. Emphasis on “Hard”.

SPOILER ALERT! The Hard Times of RJ Berger ended the season with an episode all about secrets. Coach Jeriba (am I the only one that thinks his first name is hilarious?) Sinclair revealed his plan to propose to RJ’s Mom, Lily dropped a baby bomb, RJ revealed his true love for Amy and… wait for it… Max was spied playing naked leap frog with some cute young dude in the gym showers.

Alright, they were just kissing but it was hot. RJ saw the duo generating their own steam and used the info to knock Max down a notch in a classic “I-know-what-you-did-so-do-what-I-want-if-you-don’t-want-the-whole-school-to-know” move. Pretty clever, RJ. It reminds me of my high school days, although, sadly, my biggest secret was my designer-impostor cologne. I can’t wait to see how Max’s story plays out next season.

  1. sorry, but the whole point about Max is that he is a bully and a jerk, and the show seems to be using the “max is closeted” in a nasty/gay-negative way.    So despite the fact that the pics themselves are kinda hot, IMHO you should not be praising the show itself.

  2. how come i havent heard of this show before??!?!!? what network and the name of the show!?!?!

  3. Actually I think this is a good thing, this show (which I don’t watch) and glee, are actually showing another side of homosexuality. The closeted, tormented “heterosexual”. I mean for so many years tv gays have usually appeared as a stereotype of homosexuality. Which I am not against stereotypes, because the are basically a summary of the things that make us different from heterosexuals, so obviosly those personalities are the ones that the media and public would find more interesting. (Think Cosby show, and African Americans in television before that show). So at the same time I embrace the stereotype because its ok to be different, however its also good to show others sides of homosexuality. Such as the “straight acting” (litterally, acting) jock types. Maybe it will raise peoples awareness and erase some of the heterosexual naivety, that all homosexuals can be spotted by how they talk and what they wear.  So I say good work TV.

  4. Thanks for the info top4bttm. This makes it look like something worth watching MTV for…even if it is just to see a hot guy which is totally is. I’d chew those chains off with my teeth if I had to!  DAMN!
