In the Queer As Folklore series, Yigi Chang invents “modern day fables explaining the mythological origins of the gay culture”. The ten images essentially create visual representations for popular LGBT phrases, touching upon everything from “gold star gay” to “self suck”. For example, the above pic is Chang’s interpretation of “twincest”.
Now, with no disrespect to any other artists, these are some of the coolest pieces featured in our Drawn To You series. As much as we love a good round of toon porn and irreverent depictions of royalty, this Toronto-based illustrator’s work takes the cake when it comes to creativity. Hmm, we wonder what a creativity cake tastes like? Maybe Yigi can draw a picture of it for us.

“Beard Weaver”:
Beard: A title given to an individual who partakes in a pseudo heterosexual relationship that disguises the sexual orientation of their LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered) partner.
