Britney Spears Banned From Radio?

Britney Spears, If You Seek Amy

Britney Spears' third single "If You Seek Amy" is being censored and banned on U.S. radio because of its controversial lyrics: "All of the boys and all of the girls are beggin' to, If You Seek Amy." Try singing "If You Seek Amy" a few times quickly and it might sound like "F-U-C-K Me."

Supposedly, the radio version takes out the 'K' in "Seek," making it less obviously vulgar. I think if they weren't censoring it, most people wouldn't realize it was anything other than "If You Seek Amy," which is the name of the song.

  1. I love if you seek amy it is an awesome song and who cares what it says it the lyrics people need to stop trying to ban a good thing that people are enjoying and liking 🙂

  2. Who in the “IF YOU SEEK-A” gives a flying “IF YOU SEEK-A” about Britney “IF YOU SEEK-A” Spears?!? Puh-LEAZE stop your obsession with here, gay men and grow up!!!

  3. ?I dont know why people ever thought she was any good. Can’t stand her and really bad role model for our nations youth

  4. She is a sad mess. This song is emblematic of how absolutely boring and artless the US music industry can be. It is using cheap tricks to sell music that would only excite the mind of a 12 year old girl. Or a sadly significant number of gay men.

  5. Spears has been TMZ’d to death. Another celebrity created by a media starved for anything they deem newsworthy. Sure, follow the bouncing, panty-less wonder as she garners praise for her “courageous” rise from the ashes of despair. Puh-lease. I guess this is the current state of celebrity-dom when technology offers resources beyond the days of digging into people’s trash for a story. Oh well, one gay man’s junk is another gay man’s treasure….of course, “junk” is left open to interpretation.

  6. ” It is using cheap tricks to sell music that would only excite the mind of a 12 year old girl. Or a sadly significant number of gay men.”
Hey omikron: You’ve just described the main demographics at my local gay bar on a Saturday night (gay men with the minds of 12-year-old girls) Spot on, mate.

  7. Ya’ll…She’s saying “Allah the boys and Allah the girls are beggin’ teux if ewe see gay me.” you idiots…it’s not what you say it’s how you say id. Take some history classes.

  8. Sadly, TONS of gay men confound gay liberation with gay marketing. Britney Spears was a ‘tween star. The industry decided to continue making money of off her by marketing her towards queers. TONS of queers fell for it. That is what fuels her popularity.
The queers that fall for this CRAP are the same ones who wear A&F clothing well into middle age. Honey, WAKE UP! Don’t you realize that as quickly as people will market goods for queers they would just as quickly “fire the ovens and turn on the showers” if it means good business?!
BRITNEY’s PEOPLE WANT HER MUSIC BANNED you fools!!! It’s a way of drawing attention to it. Ignore it and she will go away. When did GAY PEOPLE get so insanely boring and mediocre???

  9. These musical tricks are nothing new. Norwegian punk band Turbonegro a few years back recorded “If You See Kaye (Tell Her I Love Her)”.
