Foreplay is key to start with which includes rimming and finger play mixed into it. I strongly suggest getting a shower wand and always clean yourself out up there before getting together for sex. This will do two things, make you and him feel better about the anal play and rimming for one, second it will also help to loosen you up as well with the warm water.
But his rimming your clean hole and taking the time with fingers to loosen you up a bit will help a lot. Lube is key of course for penetration and until the head is all the way past the outer ring it will be painful and hard to take. Once the head pops in past that both just stay still for a while and let your body get use to the invasion and start to relax.
Most times sitting down on him with your legs spread wide make it a lot easier as well to start with.
