Do we even need to comment on this video of Star Trek and Heroes star Zachary Quinto being doused in a milky white substance? Yes, yes we do.
Quinto has recently spotted at a film event hanging out with co-star Eric Bana and his boyfriend, as if it was no big deal. That's probably because it's not a big deal. So what's keeping him from publicly coming out?
I know actors like Rupert Everett have said that being gay has ruined their career, but how could it really affect Quinto? It's not like they'll replace him in the Star Trek sequel or kill off Sylar just because he likes it in the butt. He has solid franchises on his side! Now is the perfect time to come out and become a role model to closeted folks of all ages.
Apparently Quinto doesn't agree. For him, this is the perfect time to tease us by appearing in some crazy softcore bukkake porn. On the bright side, he does look ferociously sexy.

A role model to closeted folks of all ages? If those folks have not come out yet, Zachary Quinto coming out is not going to be the impetus for them to come out as well. Everyone who is in the gay closet is not tearing at the bit to be gay, out and proud, We’ve all got our own pace. I’ve been out since I was in my teens but I’ve known people who didn’t come out til they were 50. So what? You can’t force something. Or perhaps you can, like Pariah Hilton has, but that’s just wrong. More than a few people will disagree with my feeling that because someone is an actor they have to be a role model. Everyone has their own idea of what a role model is and mine were the people directly involved in my life: my parents,older siblings, teachers, etc.
Really, I don’t go around telling every random person I’m gay. Just except the fact that we, the public, are basically just strangers to famous people. You wouldn’t walk around telling strangers you’re gay, why should someone famous have to tell us their gay?

Recognize him for his talents not for if his sexuality. Granted he is good to look at but I appreciate him more for his acting than anything else.

But this whole “Hey… that actor was seen hanging out with a guy. HE MUST BE GAY!!” You know… I have many straight friends who maybe hang out with 2 girls, other than their girlfriends, and then probably 20 different guys. And they act all cuddly and touchy. They aren’t fucking gay. For some reason our society has put such a god damned emphasis on being out, loud and proud. But do you know what that actually does? It just antagonizes us.
I have never had a hetero friend come up to me and say “Billy Bob (not my actual name XD)…. I got something to tell you. I’m… straight.” As they sniffle and look away. “I hope you can accept me because I like to pound vagina.” I’m not in the closet, my policy has always been “Never lie. If they ask, tell the truth. If they don’t ask, it’s none of their business.”
So WHY would it be considered being a role model to tell the world how you like your sex?? To tell complete strangers that you’re not attracted to women? My mother, who is a wise woman, I find, has always said “Nobody cares how you like your eggs.” And I think that this is an apt way to describe it. So, unless it’s ACTUALLY physically giving you Cancer not knowing Zachary’s sexuality, you need to get a life. 😀
Don’t get me wrong, I generally enjoy Dewitts posts, and I think Marc’s “Dimwitt” comment was extremely juvenile and unproductive, but sometimes his posts can be a little on the frivolous side.
