ABC Family doesn’t have quite the casting acumen of the CW, but occasionally they get it right. Here’s Derek Theler from some horrible-sounding show on the network called Baby Daddy. You might remember him from a Coke Zero commercial from a couple years back. If not, you can watch it below. I’m sure it’s better than a show called Baby Daddy. Shorter in length and with less children. Derek’s hobbies include surfing and football and taking out restraining orders against me. Anyone remember the Diet Pepsi add from some years ago where all the girls rush to the window overlooking a construction site where a hunk ( Lucky Vanos ) buys a drink at the lunch wagon, brushes the sweat from his brow, tilts back his head showing off his sweaty body making all the girls swoon and takes a slug of Pepsi ? He got quite a load of attention from that commercial, got several walkons from different shows and even got a principal part on a very short lived weekly evening soap. Now that guy was a hunk……I wonder what ever happened to him ? He was on several talk shows and told about how he and his wife ( a dancer) had been trying to make it for years. People were asking him how it felt to be an over night success, he laughed, a ten year night and all I hope is that I can get a future from this 30 second window of opportunity. Poor guy never made it as so many others…………don’t.

Derek Theler is a gorgeous specimen of man (that body! those cheekbones!), but even his casting does not save Baby Daddy from unwatchableness. However, his castmate Jean-Luc Bilodeau is really cute, and it is funny to watch Tahj Mowry try to act heterosexual when it’s so, so clear that he is so, so not.
Latest? Been all over that since the start of last season.
The hottest part of this coke commercial? opening the bottle with his boot. What the hell is happening to me? Or does just EVERYTHING give me a boner.
