Morrissey recently told….wait, you know who Morrissey is, right? Lead singer of hugely influential band The Smiths? Went on to a successful solo career full of snarky lyrics, carnivore hatred, and being all maudlin and asexual? Yeah, that guy. Anyway, he recently stated that he’s retiring in 2 years because feels he’s too old to rock out. Luckily I’ve seen him perform my favorite Smiths song (“Paint A Vulgar Picture”) live, so it’s ok if he bows out. What am I saying – he’s a (very cranky) international treasure!
Anyway, Morrissey says age 55 is when he’s dropping out. The picture above of him is recent. Would you rush the stage for that? (Morrissey fans tend to do that. When security throws them out, he usually stops the show and leaves. It’s fun!)
