Will A Bring It On Musical Actually Work?

Bring it On

Apparently there's going to be a staged musical loosely based on the Bring It On series. We have no idea why Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda is involved with this, but he's not the only one who believes this is actually a good idea. Along with Miranda, Tom Kitt of "Next To Normal" will be composing the music. Amanda Green of "High Fidelity" will provide lyrics, Jeff Whitty of "Avenue Q" will pen the book and Andy Blankenbuehler will be choreographing and directing.

Now, I have to ask my theater queens–should I be swayed by this production line-up? Could this actually be something worth seeing? Will you pay for my ticket and give me a blowjob afterwards?

  1. Haha wow, I can’t believe there were even 3 others made after the original (the only decent one in my opinion), but I guess there is still a fanbase if they keep green-lighting this bullshit, Lol!
A musical though, I don’t know why, but I could definitely see this working out!
And Dewitt, I might buy your ticket and blow you afterwards, but for that, I’d have to know what you look like first..

  2. thank you marc… they definitely should hav stopped after the first one… it was the only good plot and the only good cast.
as long as the musical stays more towards the original movie’s plotline, i think itll go pretty far… especially with the production line0up theyve got goin for it… i mean look at legally blonde
and i agree with marc again about the ticket and blowjob… need to kno what im working for here haha

  3. I was gonna say, If it makes it to Broadway it’ll probably last just as long as legally Blonde did… but I think it could be just as fun as LB was.

  4. Considering I mostly watched the first one because of the “Mickey” number at the end, a musical just might work.
I still can’t believe they made four of them.
