Weekly Top Ten Wild Card: Strictly For The Club

I

If you’re not satisfied by any of the options on today’s Weekly Top Ten Wild Card, then you can blame your fellow Manhunt Daily readers. Not that we’re trying to pit you against one another or anything. You have a tendency to do that on your own, without any instigation on our part…

With that said, three out of four of this round’s selections were recommended on this past weekend’s countdown, and you’re free to suggest something else if you don’t like ’em. There seemed to be a heavy demand for straight-up club music. Taking note of this, we decided to stick with that theme. Today’s choices include Rye Rye, Yasmin, Afrojack and Ultra Naté. Only one artist can make it onto the charts… So who will it be?

– Dewitt

To listen to these selections and cast your vote, follow the JUMP:

Rye Rye – Hardcore Girls: This collaboration between the Baltimore rapper and The Count & Sinden has been out for a bajillion (aka two) years now. Unlike her track “Sunshine”, this isn’t technically an official single. It’s just a promo video for a women’s clothing line. Pssh, whatever! We’ll use any excuse to post a Rye Rye music video.

Yasmin – Finish Line: You may question why this song’s appearing in a competition with a “dance/club” theme. In which case, might I direct you to the Freemasons remix of the British DJ’s new track? We also recommend checking out Mike Delinquent‘s version as well.

Afrojack f/ Eva Simons – Take Over Control: We still haven’t made up our minds about Dutch pop singer Eva Simons. She seems a little more style than substance, yet we almost don’t mind because we really like her style. And, no, she did not snatch Rihanna’s wig and steal the red hair. She had it first, bitches.

Ultra Naté – Turn It Up: For those who prefer their dance music with a retro vibe. Could this song become Ultra Naté’s eighth number one dance hit? It’s yet to be determined, but it will probably help if you start dancing to it. Immediately. We’re not even kidding. Get your ass off that desk chair and jam.

  1. LOVE “Take Over Control” — great song. I’ve been playing it at the bar for a while now. So glad you decided to feature it. Definitely got my vote!

  2. voted for ultra nate, but what I really want to see in this week’s vote is Go Team’s Apollo Throwdown.

  3. I went with Yasmin. The Afrojack song is kinda old by now. It was a hit in clubs like 3 months ago. And yes, Rihanna stole the look away from Eva Simmons.

  4. Take Over Control for still being fierce after all these months. Eva Simmons could fuck me with a strap on anytime.

I know its a travesty to suggest Beautiful People by Chris Brown & Benny Benassi after the whole “Lets bash Ri-Ri!” incident, but its actually quite an awesome song
