Weekly Top Ten: The LoveGame Is Over

Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga, Shakira, Robbie Williams, Janet Jackson, Madonna, Lil Wayne, Trina, Miley Cyrus, Priscilla Renea, Taio Cruz, music, gay, dance, Million Dollar Bill, Weekly Top Ten, c

After spending fourteen weeks on our charts and being declared your 2009 Song of SummerLady Gaga's "LoveGame" is finally retiring from MANHUNT Daily's Weekly Top Ten. But don't think you've heard the last Gaga. "Paparazzi" is stronger than ever, and she's even making her third debut on the charts (this time as a featured artist).

Who else are we saying goodbye to? The junkyard of misfit songs is now occupied by Alphabeat, Kaci Battaglia and Mariah Carey. When it comes to the latter, something's telling us we haven't heard the last of her. And that something is our leaked copy of Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. Um, we mean our friend's copy. We would never support piracy, unless it involved a penis sword-fight with Johnny Depp.

If you're new to the Weekly Top Ten, let me fondle you lightly while I explain the rules. Each week you'll be presented with ten songs. You get to vote for up to three moving to the next week. From those results, we'll take the five jams with the highest percentages, a song we saved and four other contributions. These selections will make up the following week's charts.

If you don't see your favorite song on the list, leave a comment suggesting it for next week. We listen to nearly every song you recommend, and if we think it gives us a raging music-boner.. you'll see it here next week! Hell, you might even see it if we don't like it. We're mysterious like that.

– Dewitt

To check out the charts and vote, follow the JUMP:

  1. Whitney Houston – Million Dollar Bill (LW – 1): After an astounding comeback, Whitney spends her second consecutive week at the top of the charts. We're hoping that there'll be more sexy YouTube tributes on the way, from sexy beach boys to booty-popping hotties. Can "Million Dollar Bill" withhold its status as fall's official gay anthem?
  2. Lady Gaga – Paparazzi (LW – 4): For once, our predictions were actually right! Gaga's VMA performance bumps "Paparazzi" to its highest position since debuting on the charts. It may even have potential to creep into the number one spot, but that might be hard to do on crutches.
  3. Shakira – She Wolf (LW – 2): Given the boost songs have been getting from twinky remakes, we have a feeling Shakira might get a boost from the latest "He Wolf" craze. Then again, we're probably just saying that because we want to fuck the hell out of Andrew Foster
  4. Robbie Williams – Bodies (LW – 8): Gasp! It's highly unusual for someone with a penis and a hairy torso to stay on these charts. It probably helps that Robbie Williams is willing to show us both of those things. Also, the song is pretty good.
  5. Janet Jackson – Make Me (LW -7): How the hell do we do a Weekly Top Ten with only nine songs? Janet was tragically left off this list over the weekend, but we've added her on and will give her a small boost next week. Besides, she isn't doing half bad for being neglected! As I type, she's currently in third place.
  6. Madonna f/ Lil Wayne – Revolver (DEBUT): I'm not crazy about this song, but that doesn't mean you can't be. Though I won't deny that I'd shake my ass to this, I still stand by the fact that this is a ridiculously mediocre Madonna jam.
  7. Priscilla Renea – Dollhouse (DEBUT): We had a few requests for this last week. Does it stand a chance against all the high-profile regulars? We'll let you make that decision. If you want to see her in these parts next week, spread the word so she actually has a chance.
  8. Trina f/ Lady Gaga – Let Them Hoes Fight (WILD CARD): With nothing more than a forty-four second clip, Trina beat out Ke$ha, Boy Crisis and The Foo Fighters for the illustrious wild card spot. Now that's what I call being "da baddest bitch".
  9. Miley Cyrus – Party in the U.S.A. (LW – 3): Yes, we saved this song. With that said, we had to dock points for the official music video being less entertaining than the fan-made Fire Island version. She shouldn't have even bothered trying to top that! Speaking of topping, I'd totally stick it in all five of those boys.
  10. Taio Cruz – Break Your Heart (DEBUT): Taio Cruz may not take his clothes off like Robbie Williams, but he's still one sexy bitch. And did I mention that his song is kind of awesome? There's a good reason it's number one in the UK!

  1. i’m confused with how janet was on last week’s top list and just feel off the chart completely this week????

  2. A local producer/singer combo in Vancouver recently had a new track featured on our local 95.3 Virgin radio through a contest
he’s also won a Sarah McLachlan remixing contest and has been very successful on the internetdj.com charts (several #1s)
here’s a link to the song “S&M – Miss you Miss you” on youtube (official link)
p.s. I’m not a promoter or anything, but James is a pretty good friend of mine. Still, this is my new favorite song of the year, partly because nobody’s heard it and it’s not getting overplayed, lol, but it totally rocks

  3. I would vote for madonna if she hadn’t had that ugly thug on her song…. he’s a mess and shoulda been left for dead when we had the chance.
