Weekly Top Ten: Enter The Gagapocalypse.

Blah blah blah, Pink has maintained her lead on our Weekly Top Ten countdown for the third week in a row. It won’t really matter that much, because she’s about to get destroyed by Lady Gaga‘s “Born This Way”. Let’s not kid ourselves. Even though the song has received mixed reviews from the M4M community, it’s going to be on top of these charts by next week’s round.

Meanwhile, we’re forced to bid adieu to Jessie J, Patrick Wolf, Sleigh Bells and Florence + The Machine. None of these selections received enough votes to stay in the mix, so we had to send them packing on their way!

So how does this all work? If you’re a Weekly Top Ten virgin, grab onto Patrick O’Brien‘s thick cock while I explain the rules to you. Each week you’ll be presented with ten songs. You get to vote for any and all that you’d like to see move on to the next week. From those results, we’ll take the five tunes with the highest percentages, a song we save and four other contributions. These selections will make up the following week’s charts.

Wishing there was a “none of the above” option? Well, quit your bitching and tell us what you want to see on the charts by leaving a suggestion in the comments. We listen to nearly every song you recommend, and if we think it’ll have a chance… you might see it here next time around!

To check out the charts and cast your vote, follow the JUMP:

  1. Pink – Fuckin’ Perfect (LW – 1, W4): We shouldn’t downplay Pink’s victory on our charts! She’s managed to fight off some fierce competition from Britney and Rihanna, and her numbers have been consistently strong with every release. Who knows? Maybe she can defeat Gaga in the long run?
  2. Rihanna – S&M (LW – 6, W2): Thanks to her eye-catching music video, Rihanna takes a jump into the second place position. Will this song be able to go all the way? While “What’s My Name” fizzled out quickly in our competition, “Only Girl (In The World)” stuck around ’til the end. The fate of “S&M” is yet to be determined.
  3. Britney Spears – Hold It Against Me (LW – 2, W5): The anticipation for Britney’s latest video has been building for days now, and it’s almost getting to the point where they should just say screw it and release the damn thing. Depending on its quality, it’ll either help or hurt this song on our charts.
  4. Adele – Rolling In The Deep (LW – 3, W10): It’s a pleasant surprise that Adele’s lasted this long on the countdown. She may not be your typical color-by-numbers pop star, but she’s proven that she’s got the vocal chops to compete against them. With three out of ten weeks on top, and she’s still here!
  5. Katy Perry – Firework (LW – 4, W11): Unfortunately, this may be Ms. Russell Brand’s last week in our presence. But brighten up! Her new single “E.T. (Futuristic Lover)” should be making it’s official debut in the near future. She won’t be gone for long, you know? Just hold onto your plastic bags and wish upon a flaming firework.
  6. Garçon Garçon – Stay In Touch (LW – 9, W2): Yes, we’re saving Garçon Garçon just because they’re two really attractive Australian dudes. What’s it to you? Actually, we’re also saving them because this song is fucking brilliant. They’ve been getting more and more press in the past couple of weeks, and we get the sense it’s only a matter of time before they’re a huge deal.
  7. Lady Gaga – Born This Way (DEBUT): The folks at Manhunt headquarters seem to be divided on Gaga’s latest release. Some of us are mad that it’s a total Madonna rip-off. Others are ready to dance on our desk chairs like we’re performing on a gay pride float. Either way, this “free bitch” has got us talking, and we’re pretty sure that’s exactly where she wants us.
  8. Clare Maguire – Last Dance (DEBUT): We’re crying inside that this probably won’t make it to the next round. It’s almost more of a gay anthem than “Born This Way”, except way less obvious and club-tastic. Can we please show this up-and-coming star some love? She really deserves it, you guys!
  9. Maroon 5 – Never Gonna Leave This Bed (WILD CARD): Bleck. Though it was a very close battle, Adam Levine has defied all odds by defeating his estrogen-soaked competitors in the Wild Card round. Sorry, Shakira and Nicki Minaj! You didn’t stand a chance against Adam Levine’s partially-undressed escapades.
  10. Sarah McLachlan – Illusions of Bliss (DEBUT): Again, this might not make it onto next Saturday’s edition, but we should at least recognize Sarah McLachlan for her own artistic strengths. Keep your fingers crossed. It’s going to take a lot to keep this one around.

  1. This week my votes went to Katy Perry’s Firework because it’s still the most joyful song to hear anywhere and everywhere, Adele’s Rolling in the Deep is getting better ever time I hear it and Lady Gaga’s fantastic celebration Born This Way.

Very happy that there are so many great songs to choose from this week. I feel bad that I couldn’t also give a vote to Rhianna and Britney’s hot dance jams also.

And can someone tell me why Kylie’s Get Outta My Way is not on this chart?

  2. Despite being a total Madonna rip-off, it will still be a huge hit worldwide.
Happy, cos I love GaGa. Disappointed, cos it’s so unoriginal.
Intentional rip-off or not, thumbs down.

  3. I am so sad to see Jessie J go, especially now that she’s entered the Billboard Hot 100 with Price Tag. However, there’s still talent left in the list with Adele, P!nk, Clare Maguire (her song has to stay at least one more week) and Sarah. I did vote for Gaga because I am loving her new single, copy or not.

    Suggestions for next week are:
    – Mumford & Sons: The Cave
    – Ida Corr: What goes around comes around
    – Jennifer Lopez: On the floor
    – Eric Prydz: Niton (The Reason)

  4. Get Outta My Way was Kylie’s previous single, and lasted the full 15 weeks. Her follow up typo that single, Better Than Today, didn’t last very long.

  5. born this way? hahaha pathetic. why listen to that cheap fraud, when you could just listen to madonna’s stuff from years n years ago to hear the original stuff?

  6. I’ll have to go with Pink, Adele and Sarah. Three great songs from three very talented women. Gaga’s new song has entirely too much going on and the vocals are hidden behind a wall of sound and when they’re not, the vocals just aren’t that great. I expected something better. However, I have no doubt that she will be number one. I wonder what the “profound” concept is going to be for this video… In all honesty, this is going to be another Alejandro.

  7. Lady Gaga all the way!

She was just amazing at the Grammys.

Haters be advised: She is the real deal and here to stay!

Great to see Pink doing so well too! That is an amazing song for her and a great end to this first chapter of her career.

I hope to see Futuristic Lover (ET) by Katy Perry on here soon as well as On The Floor by Jennifer Lopez.

  8. Lady Gaga
    Pink
    Rihanna
    Sarah McLachlan
    Katy Perry

**I know I may be killed by this, but how about an aural only for Kesha’s new single “Blow”? It is burning up the Billboard Hot 100 right now.**

  9. Loving the Clare Maguire song right now. Great track. Also voted for Rihanna, Pink,Adele and Katy. Time for J-Lo to debut in the chart and another song I want to recommend is On my own by Yasmin. She’s another UK import. Some American dance radio stations are playing her song.

  10. Where’s Fuck You by Cee-Lo Green?
After that Grammy’s performance with the Muppets, you HAVE to have it on the weekly top ten!

  11. Cee-Lo Green’s Fuck You has already been on here.

I also like Blow by Kesha and On The Floor by Jennifer Lopez.

  12. This one belongs to Gaga hands down. I can see it being #1 here for the next two months. I want to see the new Jennifer Lopez song here song as well as the one by Mumford & Sons (The Cave).
