Waynesboro School Board Approves Gay Straight Alliance

Youth Noise

We wrote about Waynesboro Area Senior High School's effort to establish a Gay-Straight Alliance in their school, and we are happy to report that the School Board has voted in favor of the GSA 6-3. This is a victory for students all across the nation who hope to start similar organizations but meet resistance.

The majority of the board meeting was spent hearing from opponents of the GSA. Waynesboro resident Amos Miller says "I understand the, per se, bullying that [students] may experience, which I
do not agree with, but whenever
they come into the school system and have a club now they are permitted
to hand out materials and recruit people and it's an awful young age."

Again with the recruiting, why the obsession with gays 'recruiting' children? Can anyone help me explain this?

I think many narrow minded people think being gay is not normal, so in their mind no one is born that way. So, if you aren’t born gay than obviously (to their way of thinking) you must have learned it from someone or been “recruited” into what they think of as a perverted lifestyle

  2. Not even one month ago a movie was released called prayers for bobby, completely aimed at addressing this issue.
It highlights the fact that the bible says (among other things):
    Leviticus 20:9
“For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.”
As far as I know, people don’t go around killing their children and that verse is not 5 away from the same verse that religios fanatics cite to codemn gay people to hell.
How can they have such a double standard on their interpretation of the bible? Maybe I should go and kill all of their kids for talking back to them and then cite that verse in my defence in front of a judge.
