Vote For The Weekly Top Ten Wild Card

Wildcard

It's that time again! For the past couple of weeks, we've asked for your assistance in choosing the final selection for our Weekly Top Ten charts. Though a few of the underdogs haven't had what it takes to stay in the competition, one of your previous selections is currently inches away from overtaking Robbie Williams for second place. Work it out, Florence + The Machine!

So who will be trying to mirror her level of success? Well, this week's round includes new music by Roisin Murphy, Basement Jaxx, Leighton Meester and Aqua. Only one of these selections will make it to the final ten, and you only have one night to vote. Make sure to choose wisely!

Roisin Murphy – Orally Fixated: So what so y'all think of Roisin Murphy? I've been pretty much ambivalent on her, but there seem to be a lot of folks out there who are obsessed with her. You may even remember when one of them danced in a jockstrap.

———————————————————————————

Basement Jaxx f/ Lightspeed Champion – My Turn: Sure, the teddy bears in the video may be a little too reminiscent of Kanye West, but that doesn't mean you should be overlooking "My Turn". Though I failed to mention it in my review of Basement Jaxx's Scars, this is one of the best songs on the album!

———————————————————————————

Leighton Meester f/ Robin Thicke – Somebody To Love: How do you put Robin Thicke on your song and not make me want to take my clothes off? The lead single by this Gossip Girl actress leaves something to be desired. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but she sounded way better on that atrocious Cobra Starship song.

———————————————————————————

Aqua – My Mamma Said: Rest assured, that the latest Aqua single is nothing like "Barbie Girl". I'll let you decide whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. I was initially surprised by this song's bootleg Tori Amos vibe, and then that annoying deep-voiced dude came in. Can the chick from this group just go solo?

  1. My Turn is BY FAR the best of the group…the way Basement Jaxx takes music styles and mashes them up into something incredible is a feat…I heard the whole album and it is one of the best albums of the year…you’ll hear more from Basement Jaxx as the year goes along , guaranteed!

  2. yeah i think basement jaxx is the better of the songs…though something alluring about the aqua song is there. its a shame it does have pretty strong words and yet it will be made it some fucked up dance remix and some cracked out queen is gonna download it and never understand it…art is wasted blah lol.
