Vote For The Weekly Top Ten Wild Card

music, voting, weekly top ten, charts, gay, dance, Hot Chip, Alexandra Burke, pop, electro, Cheryl Cole, Peaches, victory

In the absence of a Wild Card vote last week, I chose Kelis as the token underdog for our Weekly Top Ten. To say she's not doing too well would be an understatement. The "Bossy" diva currently occupies the last place spot on the charts. Perhaps it's best when I let you guys choose the tenth selection?

This week's round features music by Hot Chip, Alexandra Burke, Cheryl Cole and Peaches. I haven't decided whether one or two songs will make it onto the charts, and it honestly might depend on which two remain victorious in this round. You only have one night to vote, so choose quickly and choose wisely!

Hot Chip – One Life Stand: You may know all about one night stands, but how about one life stands? British electro-pop group Hot Chip are back a new song, and it's just as good as the other ones that I've listened to while making out with hot hipster boys. I may need to start doing lip exercises for future encounters…

———————————————————————————

Alexandra Burke f/ Flo Rida – Bad Boys: This one's been around for a while, and initially I wasn't too enthusiastic about it. Upon taking another listen, I might be able to get in it. Is there a version that doesn't have Flo Rida on it? Because he's seriously one of the most annoying rappers ever.

———————————————————————————

Cheryl Cole f/ Will.i.am – 3 Words: Wow, Cheryl Cole is really going for that "Look! I'm weird like Lady Gaga" vibe with this video, eh? Considering that our first two selections come from the UK charts, it only seemed right to continue a British invasion. Will.i.am actually manages to be bearable on this one!

———————————————————————————

Peaches – Trick or Treat: Okay, so maybe I'm a little bit of a Peaches fanboy. If you haven't figured it out by now, Peaches is pulling a Beyonce and releasing videos for all of the singles from her latest album I Feel Cream. We hear that when her tour's done, she'll be rehearsing for a one-woman performance of Jesus Christ Superstar. No, that's not a joke.

  1. I agree, Flo Rida is just annoying as fuck. Plus I hate it when rappers name drop…THEIR OWN NAMES. We know they’re in the damn song!
Cheryl Cole is nice and harmless, Peaches is okay, Hot Chip…I couldn’t figure out if it was a man or a woman singing until I saw a picture of the group..
So I voted for Alexandra Burke, but only on the basis of the danceability of the song and her vocals being pretty decent.
