Vote For The Weekly Top Ten Wild Card

Today’s Wild Card round includes one upcoming pop-country hit, one jam that deserves a second chance and two hit singles that have never appeared on our countdown. It’s up to you to decide which of these releases should compete for the ultimate title of 2010 Song of Summer.

This week’s edition features music by Shontelle, Sugarland, Mike Posner and Travis McCoy. We’re giving you two nights to vote for your favorite artist, so get in your selection before

Shontelle – Impossible: We gave this track an opportunity in a previous Wild Card round, but we’ve received so many requests to add it to the charts that it’s only fair to give it a second chance. Although it’s a bit slower than your typical Song of Summer entry, it’s not entirely impossible for a mid-tempo jam like this to take the title.

Sugarland – Stuck Like Glue: As the lead single from the upcoming album The Incredible Machine, this song is sure to be another hit for the beloved country duo. Fans of furry men should also take note that Kristian Bush is totally fucking adorable.

Mike Posner – Cooler Than Me: I’ve avoided including this song on our countdown, mostly because I’m still baffled as to why anyone would ever want to listen to it. With that said, I’d definitely shove my cock down Mike Posner’s throat. You just know he’s a closet power bottom…

Travis McCoy f/ Bruno Mars – Billionaire: Whether you like this song or not, you’ve got to admit that it sounds like it was specifically crafted for summer. Though the summer vibe may not make it a shoo-in for this week’s winner, we can totally understand why folks would sip lemonade on their balconies to this jam.

  1. The Shontelle record sounds like it needs a hot, dance remix. Then it would be fab. But I think the Mike Posner record is pretty hip, even with his Justin Timberlake vibe.

  2. I agree with Jimmy T: Shontelle would sound better as a dance mix, and Posner’s voice comes off too much like a JTimb ripoff. That said, “Cooler Than Me” is one of the cleverest videos in ages. LOVE Sugarland’s rhythm (if it were instrumental, that’d be my vote) but the lyrics can rim my ass. Which leaves “Billionaire” – good harmonies, uplifting.

    Great recommendation T. Lovin’ graffiti6.

  3. Thanks, T. Linked to Graffiti6 on youtube. Love “Annie.” Now I can’t stop. Great song that’s my pick for song of summer.

  4. There are a few “Impossible” remixes on youtube. Given the weekly chart is pretty much all upbeat dance tracks already, can’t we deviate from that?

  5. Posner is sexy, but not really into the song. of the choices given, i’m going with Travis McCoy. The song is catchy, especially with Bruno Mar’s on the chorus.

  6. I personally am surprised some these arent automatic entries into the. I love billionnaire, cooler than me, and impossible.
